I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, where the desert sun and wide-open skies taught me to love adventure and exploration from an early age.

There's something magical about exploring the world beneath the waves—the quiet, the wonder, the feeling of being in a completely different world.

Mumbai & Kerala

My family is from Kerala, but I grew up in Mumbai—both places taught me to love the monsoons, which explains why I fell in love with rainy Seattle almost instantly.

Trail Running

I love being out in nature—trail running at our local state park makes me feel calm, rejuvenated, and invincible all at once.

Pacific Northwest Home

We call Kirkland, Washington home—a base camp between trips, with lakes, mountains, and water never far away. After years of traveling separately, it's the place we come back to together.

Expedition Hamilton

Karthika is my wife, my favorite travel companion, and the reason most of these trips are a lot more fun than they'd be if I were going solo. We got married in 2026, and she's been along for the ride ever since—from introducing her to my hometown in Tucson, to surviving a Paris heatwave with both our families, to damming medieval water channels in Freiburg like a couple of kids.

She's curious, unflappable, and occasionally very deadpan (especially at 130 mph on the Autobahn). Most of the adventures on this site are ours now, and the map below is as much hers as mine.
